Occupational therapy?

The aim of occupational therapy is to support people in their daily independence and ability to act in order to enable them to lead a largely self-determined life.
It is part of the range of services covered by statutory health insurance and can be prescribed by the treating doctor or specialist (psychiatrist, neurologist, orthopaedist, pediatrician, etc.).
Services include:
- Pain therapy for chronic pain
- Hand therapy
- Sensorimotor-perceptive treatment
- Motor-functional treatment
- Psychological-functional treatment
- Brain performance training
- Thermal applications
- Self-help training
- Advice on assistive devices/ testing and supply of assistive devices
- Integration into the home environment
